Sections of a Script - From A Miracle In The Darkness (Malchus)
Excruciating pain and blood spurting everywhere. My blood, as it landed on faces and hands. Droplets felt by many standing nearby. Even the darkness could not conceal the horror.
Who am I? The pain bearer. Right ear. My name is Malchus. Servant of the high priest. And the one who bore the brunt of Peter's aggressiveness.
Peter was swift with the sword, as fear motivated him; swinging his chosen weapon of feigned justice and human protection. He was out of control. Impetuousness.
Maybe you've heard the joke about the incident. Peter wasn't aiming for my ear; but for my head. He missed.
The Christ, He intervened with His compassion and power. Miraculous. Awesome. He picked up my ear, touched me, and... I was healed. The clumps of clotted blood gone. No trace of injury.
How did all this chaos happen? The crowd approached, led by Judas.....
